PE 168: Beginning Martial Arts

The course consists of four systems to develop well-rounded martial arts practitioners. These systems are Escrima, Muay Thai, Jiu-Jitsu, and Defensive Tactics. They seamlessly train students to defend themselves with an impact or edged weapon extending beyond their reach, fight standing up or on the ground, or choose restraint techniques to control an attacker when the threat level is low and extreme force is not warranted. S/U grading. Also offered as PA 168.
