NURS 422: Quality Improvement & Patient Safety in Professional Nursing Practice
This course prepares students to advance patient safety, quality, and equity by applying the principles of improvement science. Students examine system factors that influence care outcomes, explore the nurse’s role in fostering a culture of safety, and evaluate evidence to inform quality initiatives. Emphasis is placed on leadership, teamwork, ethical accountability, and the integration of data-driven strategies that promote continuous improvement across diverse healthcare settings.
