NURS 402: Foundations of Evidence-Based Nursing Practice
This course advances students’ ability to apply evidence-based practice (EBP) principles in clinical and community settings. Students formulate focused clinical questions, search for and critically appraise diverse forms of evidence, and synthesize findings to inform nursing decisions. Emphasis is placed on integrating best evidence with clinical expertise, patient values, and ethical considerations to promote equitable, sustainable, and high-quality care. As a writing proficiency course, students refine scholarly writing and dissemination skills essential for professional nursing leadership.
