MUS 264W: Pedagogy/Lab: Hand Drums and Percussion

This course will introduce percussion instruments and rhythms used in West African, Afro Cuban, and other global music styles through the study of playing techniques, written documents, and audio and video recordings. Future music educators will learn basic information concerning teaching methods and performance techniques for a broad range of hand percussion instruments.
