ISE 365: Simulation and Modeling

WOTP Industrial SysEngineering · 4 credits · Western on the Peninsulas

This course equips students with the tools and techniques to represent, analyze, and optimize complex manufacturing and service systems. By creating computational models of processes such as manufacturing, logistics, and service operations, students can experiment with system designs, predict performance, and evaluate alternative strategies without disrupting real-world operations. The course emphasizes quantitative analysis, critical thinking, and the use of industry-standard simulation software to address variability, uncertainty, and resource constraints. This practical and analytical approach prepares students to make informed decisions, improve operational efficiency, and tackle real-world challenges in dynamic business environments.
